Our Story
Stitchy Business In The Making!
My name is Kaci Davis and I am the owner of Stitchy Business. I have lived in Douglasville my entire life. I am married to a wonderful husband of 13 years named Chris Davis. We were high school sweethearts and he's still the apple of my eye today! We have 3 handsome young men named Preston, Hunter, and Max (otherwise known as Taz)! We have always been in the car business and One Owner Auto Sales allowed me to be a stay at home mom. Before having Preston my very first sewing project was making my sister in law a Halloween costume that looked like a Hershey's Hug. I had my grandmother's good ole' Brother cast iron sewing machine and never had even thought of using it until then. My aunt walked me through the threading process over the telephone and off I went. I called her every few minutes to get her to define words off the pattern that I was certain I had never heard. Linda (Bender) was so patient as she was always a seamstress herself. She used to make the band and cheerleading uniforms for South Cobb, Pebblebrook and other surrounding High Schools. She also made wedding gowns that were to die for. She held my hand along the way and a costume soon turned into a tablecloth for Preston's nursery, which then turned into some pillows for a friend, my first window treatments, more nursery stuff for Hunter, and window treatments for a client, and Stitchy Business was off! Although Stitchy Business wasn't formed until July 2007, I have been sewing for about 11 years. I truly enjoy what I do and feel like God has blessed me with a gift and it's time to use it! I added embroidery into my hobbies in July 2006 and have a passion for this as well. The cute baby gifts and the bright colors keep things spiced up a bit. I couldn't decide which one to offer so decided to invest in commercial machines and offer them both! Now 11 years have gone by in the blink of eye since I entered motherhood and my Max is almost ready for preschool. What better time to start using a gift that God has given me than when all the childen are in school? Thank you for stopping by and please remember Stitchybusiness.com for all your sewing needs!
